Hole design requirements for wire drawing dies used in Inverted wire drawing machine

Nov 06, 2018

The inverted wire drawing machine not only has to be used with a suitable drawing die, but also has certain requirements for the hole pattern design of the wire drawing die. The wire drawing die type is generally divided into a curve (ie, an R type series) and a straight type (ie, a cone type series). As the wire speed increases, the service life of the wire drawing die becomes a prominent problem.

Therefore, in order to meet the requirements of the high-speed cable drawing of the inverted wire drawing machine and to ensure the service life, the "straight-line" theory was born. This theory focuses on the lubrication and wear factors during the drawing process, and points out the improved linear type. The pull die hole type should have the following characteristics:

Firstly, the longitudinal section of each part of the hole pattern of the drawing die used in the inverted wire drawing machine should be straight, and the drawing force of the straight working cone surface is minimum;

Secondly, the intersection of the parts of the mold used should be clearly distinguishable, so as to fully exert their respective functions, and avoid the reduction of the actual length of the sizing area by the transition angle;

In addition, the height of the inlet zone and the working zone can be appropriately increased, and a denser and firm lubricating film is formed on the surface of the wire to reduce wear and meet the high-speed drawing of the inverted wire drawing machine.https://www.chinawiredrawingmachine.com/
